Jill Bates
VTS- Dentistry, Practice Manager
Jill is a 2013 dual graduate of The Ohio State University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Animal Sciences and Columbus State Community College with an Associate Degree in Veterinary Technology of Applied Sciences. She realized her true passion for dentistry while employed in a small animal practice soon after graduation, deciding to pursue her VTS certification shortly after. She began tracking for her specialty in dentistry in 2018 and passed her boards in 2020. She loves being the Practice Manager of VDOSO; she especially enjoys teaching CE courses and assisting in dental procedures on a variety of species at zoos around the country. If she is not at work, you can find Jill relaxing in her pool, going for bike rides, or just enjoying quality time with her husband and stepdaughter.
Heather Carter
VTS-Anesthesia/Analgesia, Lead Anesthesia Technician
Heather, our Lead VTS- Anesthesia/Analgesia Technician, has been employed as a specialty anesthesia
technician for over 20 years. After graduating from Columbus State Community College, she worked at a
small clinic on the west side of Columbus for a few years before finding employment The Ohio State
University College of Veterinary Medicine. She began her career at OSU in the ICU/ER department
before transferring to Anesthesia, which is where she decided to pursue her advanced degree. She has
been with VDOSO since the beginning, joining VDOSO in 2021 as one of the founding team members.
Outside of work, Heather loves to hang out with her friends and listen to live music.
Carly Million
RVT
Carly graduated from Columbus State Community College in 2017 with her Associate of Applied Science Degree in Veterinary Technology. After graduating, Carly worked in general practice for five years before finding VDOSO. She and her husband have two young children, as well as two dogs and two cats. Outside of work, Carly loves exploring parks around Ohio with her family. They have a camper in the Mohican area where they spend time hiking, kayaking, and canoeing. Carly also loves reading and listening to music as well.
Megan Michenna
RVT
Megan was born and raised in Chicago, Illinois and moved to Columbus to attend The Ohio State University. After graduating from OSU with a bachelor’s degree in Sociology, Megan got her Associate of Applied Science Degree from the Vet Tech Institute at the Bradford School. She worked in general practice for about eight years, which is where she developed an interest in dentistry. Megan and her wife have one son, three cats, and one leopard gecko. Outside of work, Megan likes to read, learn everything there is to know about dinosaurs with her son, and visit the beach as much as possible.

Ginny Vesha
Hospital Administrator
Ginny graduated from The Ohio State University in 2006 with a B.A. in English. In blatant disregard to her degree, she found a job in the veterinary field in 2007 and has never looked back. In her spare time, you can probably find her running, reading, or cooking unnecessarily elaborate meals for her extended family. She lives in Dublin with her husband, boy-girl twins, and two dogs.

Sarah Tucker
Practice Coordinator
Sarah is a 2019 graduate of the University of Kentucky with a Bachelor of Science in Agriculture Science and has worked in the veterinary field ever since. Outside of work, Sarah enjoys traveling, watching and/or attending sporting events (Go Cats!), and reading. She also has a dog named Merlin who goes everywhere with her!
